Why is this a positive thought?

This is a positive thought, because like all positive thoughts:

  • It helps you achieve something you want
  • It helps you feel better
  • It's useful and adds positive value to your life

The more you understand how & why it has this kind of an effect, the easier it is to accept this positive thought and start thinking it naturally!

Thinking more positively fast

The key to thinking a positive thought naturally and automatically is to know, without a doubt:

  • Why the thought benefits you in various ways (for the types of reasons listed above)
  • Why it makes sense to think the thought and accept it as valid (besides considerations of its positive effects)
  • That you want to think the thought and simply make it part of the way you think about things

Once you have all those pieces in place, you're ready to make choices that will easily and effectively help you make it natural and normal to think the positive thought.

Learn by doing

Right now, you're about to be walked through this entire process step-by-step, making it a piece of cake to start thinking this positive thought.

It's very simple: just learn, and then make choices. That's it.

Yes, it's really that easy.

Here's why it's in your best interest to do this.

Impact

When you think that it is ok, great, and helpful for you to focus on opportunities, capabilities, and other positive value, rather than negative value:

  • Your mind is naturally energized and motivated to think about opportunities, capabilities, and other positive value, due to thinking that this is a ' ok, great, and helpful' thing to do
  • As a result, you naturally see a lot more opportunities, capabilities, and other positive value that lifts your spirits, makes you more energized and confident, and helps make you feel happier, in general
  • And this means that you predictably enjoy greater happiness, confidence, peace of mind, and other positive emotions on a regular basis
  • See more
  • Consequently, you also naturally regularly benefit from all of the positive effects of feeling happier, more confident, and more peaceful (like, greater spirits, feeling 'up', more energy, more success and achievement due to more energy and confidence, enjoying life and social interactions more, and on and on)
  • Life feels more meaningful and worthwhile to you since you are naturally seeing opportunities, capabilities, and positive value that makes life valuable, rather than seeing negative value that makes life feel worthless
  • The more positive value you see, the more these types of positive emotions are amplified, and the more 'full of life' you feel, and the happier, more confident, and more energized you become
  • See more
  • With all of this wonderful peace of mind, you naturally experience less (if any) fear and anxiety, since these types of destructive, crippling emotions are replaced feelings of greater peace and confidence, instead
  • Among other things, this happier, more peaceful, more confident mindset naturally improves the quality of your sleep, providing you with even more energy and clarity of mind, and thereby naturally has a positive effect on your physical health

Sensibility

Here's why it makes sense to think that it is ok, great, and helpful for you to focus on opportunities, capabilities, and other positive value, rather than negative value:

  • When you consider the powerful, beneficial impact of thinking about opportunities, capabilities, and other positive value, it makes complete sense to think that it is 'ok, great, and helpful' for you to focus on things of this nature
  • Indeed, it makes sense to appreciate how great and helpful it is for both you and others around you, who will also naturally benefit from you bringing this type of positive value to their attention
  • Also, it makes complete sense for you to think that it is 'ok', valid, and acceptable for you to focus on things of positive value, rather than negative value, just like it's perfectly fine to see a glass as half full rather than half empty
  • See more
  • By appreciating this, you can appreciate that it is neither right nor wrong for you to focus on capablities, opportunities, or other things of positive value, any more than it is right or wrong for you to see a glass as half full rather than half empty...
  • But it certainly makes sense to think in a constructive way that immediately increases your quality of life and improves your well-being, rather than in a negative way that harms you, since you have the option of doing so
  • To appreciate how powerful and sensible it is to think this way, consider the example of losing your job: what type of mindset will help you find another job faster and easier?
  • If you focus on all the negative value in losing your job, you will naturally feel sad, miserable, depressed, have less confidence in yourself and your abilities, and all of these negative effects, and more, will make it much more challenging for you to find another job
  • On the other hand, if you focus on identifying other job opportunities, as well your capability to handle this situation and find another job, you naturally feel better, stronger, more confident, and are more energized
  • So, with this minset, you enjoy positive effects which naturally help you find another job faster and easier: this makes this a very powerful and completely sensible mindset to adopt, especially if you're interested in getting another job!

Compare the value of this positive thought to the value of the following negative thought to appreciate the big difference your thinking makes.

Negative Thought

It is good, right, and helpful for me to focus on things of negative value

When you think that it is good, right, and helpful for you to focus on things of negative value:

  • Your mind is naturally energized and motivated to think about things of negative value and dwell on them, due to thinking that this is a 'good, right, and helpful' thing to do
  • As a result, you naturally see a lot of negative value for you to be sad, depressed, and unhappy about, rather than seeing anything of positive value that you might be happy about, instead
  • And this means that you predictably experience a great deal of sadness, unhappiness, and feelings of depression on a regular basis
  • See more
  • Consequently, you also naturally suffer from all of the negative effects of sadness, unhappiness, and depression on a regular basis (like, low spirits, low energy, feeling down, not enjoying life or social interactions, and on and on)
  • Life literally feels more meaningless and worthless to you since you are naturally seeing negative value that makes life 'worthless', rather than seeing positive value that makes life valuable, meaningful, and worthwhile to you
  • The more negative value you see, the more these types of negative emotions are amplified, and the more you naturally tend to lose the 'will to live' (or, even worse, develop a suicidal desire to end your life, depending on how miserable all this negative value has made you)
  • As if all this wasn't enough, seeing and focusing on negative value is a recipe for fear and anxiety, since you are naturally focused on 'negative things' that can potentially harm you
  • The more negative value you see, the more afraid and anxious you'll predictably feel, so you naturally have less peace of mind (if any at all)
  • Among other things, this stressful mindset, and this type of fear and anxiety, naturally exhausts you and interferes with the quality of your sleep, which drains you of energy even further, and thereby naturally has a negative effect on your physical health

Sensibility

Here's why it makes no sense to think that it is good, right, and helpful for you to focus on things of negative value:

  • When you consider the enormously destructive impact of thinking and dwelling on things of negative value, it makes absolutely no sense -- no sense at all! -- to think that it is 'good or helpful' for you to focus on things of negative value
  • Indeed, it would make much more sense to appreciate how destructive and useless it is for you to do this
  • Also, it doesn't make any sense for you to think that it is 'right' for you to focus on things of negative value, any more than it makes sense to think that it is 'right' to see a glass as half empty rather than full
  • See more
  • By appreciating this, you can appreciate that it is neither right nor wrong for you to focus on things of negative value, any more than it is right or wrong for you to see a glass as half full rather than half empty...
  • But it certainly makes no sense at all to think in a self-destructive way that immediately decreases your quality of life and harms your well-being, when you have the option of thinking in more beneficial ways, instead
  • Indeed, when you consider how much you would benefit from thinking in more useful, constructive, positive ways, it makes no sense at all to cripple yourself with such negative thinking, when you can easily empower yourself with more positive thinking
