Want to learn how to build a list of email subscribers more quickly and easily?
Lots of people give away free e-books or PDFs when you sign up for their newsletter to increase email signups. But what if you give away free access to a paid online course to get more email subscribers?
I tested out this idea using SumoMe's Welcome Mat with Fedora and got some great results with this email list building trick. You can see a quick video below of what this strategy looks like, and then you can read the article below the video for step by step instructions on how you can use the same tactic on your own website.
Bonus: get step-by-step video instructions on how to set up the Welcome Mat + Fedora Strategy (and lots of other good stuff) when you get access to this entrepreneurship course for free.

You'll find that building an email list is easier with this trick. Here are the steps you can take to do what I did and get more email subscribers using Welcome Mat + Fedora:
What is the best way to increase email subscribers?
If you haven't heard of SumoMe, yet, it's one of the easiest ways to build your email list. So get SumoMe for free, if you haven't done so already.
This is how to grow your email subscriber list super fast.
Fedora is an online teaching platform that is similar in many ways to Udemy.
In fact, you could use this very trick to combine Welcome Mat + Udemy to get more email subscribers. So why am I recommending Fedora to generate email subscribers?
Because there's a huge difference between Udemy and Fedora: with Fedora, you get access to all those emails of the people who signed up for your courses. But with Udemy, you have no access to those emails at all.
And the purpose of this strategy is to help you build your email list. So try Fedora with this strategy, because this is how to get email signups for your courses in a way that actually gets you access to all those emails.
(FYI, I like Udemy and enjoy teaching some classes there. There are definitely some advantages to Udemy. I am just pointing out that if you want actual access to your students' email addresses, Udemy has a limitation there.)

Fedora provides plenty of videos on how to set up an online course quickly and easily.
An important idea, here, is that it can be an online course that is short, sweet, and to the point. You could even create an online course within 30 minutes that gives people some helpful tips that they would find valuable.
It's a course that you can give away for free, but don't do that: instead, charge a price for it. Then it will be free once you give it away with a coupon.
Why do this rather than just give the course away for free with no coupon?
Because you want people to see that this is a valuable course, worth X dollars, but they are getting it for free. That's why.
Play around wth Fedora's coupon code system. You'll see that you can create a coupon that will make your online course free.
Name your coupon something like: WELCOME-MAT.
Because when people come to your website, and they use Welcome Mat to subscribe to your newsletter and get access to your online course, you want to be able to track how many people have used your Welcome Mat coupons.
This will enable you to know how successful you have been with this strategy for growing your email subscriber list.
You can set up Welcome Mat to appear on every page in your website with your offer, and it will be the first thing people see when they visit your website.
For example, the message might say "Double Your Traffic In 30 Days" and below that there might be another message that says "Get an online course for FREE right now (worth $99)".
I will leave it to you to be a better copywriter than that! But the basic idea is that you make your offer, and visitors can then enter their email address if they want to take advantage of the offer.
Set up Welcome Mat so that after a visitor enters his email address, he is redirected to your online course with your special welcome-mat coupon code that you created... So that he can sign up for your course for free.
And just like that, your visitor signs up for your newsletter and for your targeted online course.
It's list building magic.
Test out this strategy and see how well it works for you.
If you write a blog post about your experiment and your results, let me know, and I will link to it and share your results with others.
