1. Does believing that you can’t ever become happy help you achieve something you want?

2. Does believing that you can’t ever become happy make you feel good or at least better?
No! If anything, it makes you feel weak, helpless, and more miserable, in general.
3. Does believing that you can’t ever become happy add positive value to your life?
No! If anything, it adds negative value to your life, by focusing on what you are “incapable” of doing.
This belief is clearly a form of negative thinking, since it actively works against you in each and every way.
And overall, this means that this belief is useless to you.
The more you understand negative thinking in your own, unique way -- in a way that completely makes sense to you -- the easier it is for your mind to help you stop thinking negatively.
Also, the more you see little or no value in negative thinking, the easier it is for your mind to "let go" of negative thoughts and stop thinking in negative ways.
For this reason, it is in you best interest to not build up a lot of negative value in your mind about negative thinking and how 'horrible' it is. Rather, it's best to understand negative thinking as something that is useless for helping you in any way.
