Become Happier With Or Without Help From Others

If you want to become a happier person and stay happy consistently, it's important that you:

  • Stop needing anyone's support, acceptance, or approval to be happy
  • Start enjoying becoming happier with or without anyone else's support, acceptance, or approval

Here's why.

Why you're better off not needing any help to be happy

There are 3 main reasons to stop needing anyone's support, acceptance or approval to be happy, and to enjoy becoming happier with or without this type of help:

  1. If you need other people's support, acceptance, or approval to be happy, you will be highly dependent on others for feeling happy: this puts you in a weak, insecure position, with more fluctuating mood swings

When you feel like you need other people to support, accept, or approve of you being happy, in order for you to feel happy:

  • You feel powerless to be happy without this type of help from others, due to believing you 'need' this help
  • So, not only do you have less confidence in yourself and your abilities, and therefore, also lower feelings of self worth, which already makes you feel less happy with yourself in that way...
  • But you are also naturally riddled with fear and anxiety that others won't support, accept, or approve of you being happy, since you believe this help is 'necessary' for you to experience happiness

  • Indeed, even if you do experience happiness, you are in a very weak position, since the moment others stop providing you with any support, acceptance, or approval of your happiness, you naturally stop being happy with this lack of support
  • After all, you have mentally made other people the 'power supply' for your happiness, rather than yourself
  • The overall result of all of this is that life is already naturally less happy and less enjoyable for you, and you naturally find it more challenging to become happier and stay happy consistently

  1. When you enjoy becoming happier with or without anyone else's support, acceptance, or approval, you are more self-reliant and independent: this puts you in a stronger, more secure position, with more stable and consistent feelings of happiness

When you enjoy becoming happier with or without anyone else's support, acceptance, or approval:

  • You feel more powerful, since you recognize the you have the capability to be happy with or without help from others, and you are already doing it
  • So, not only do you have more confidence in yourself and your abilities, and therefore, also higher feelings of self worth, which already makes you feel happier with yourself in that way..
  • But you also naturally enjoy more peace of mind, since you are free of any concern that others won't support, accept, or approve of you being happy

  • Indeed, when you achieve feelings of happiness, you are in a very strong position, since there's no need of anyone else's support for you to continue feeling happy
  • After all, you have sensibly made yourself the 'power supply' of your own happiness
  • The overall result of all of this is that life is already naturally happier and more enjoyable for you, and you naturally find it easier to become happier and stay happy consistently

  1. It makes complete sense to enjoy becoming happier with or without other people's support, acceptance, or approval, especially considering that you are fully capable of this and it benefits you in every way to do it

It makes sense in every way to enjoy becoming happier with or without anyone else's support, acceptance, or approval, especially when you consider:

  • While there are different things that can help make you feel happier, happiness is ultimately created in the mind, by thinking in positive ways that make you feel better
  • The person with the most power for helping you change the way you think is you, since it's ultimately your choice whether you want to get rid of negative thoughts and think positive thoughts instead
  • When you consider all this, it makes absolutely no sense at all to believe that you 'need' other people to be happy, when you are clearly the most powerful person for making yourself happier, and you already have everything it takes to feel happier (a functioning mind and the capacity to change your thoughts)

  • Instead, it makes complete sense to believe that you can be happy with or without other people's help or support, and that you can elso enjoy their help to become happier faster and easier, if anyone does decide to help you in any way
  • To be clear: if you benefit from therapy, or support groups, or self-improvement programs and resources (such as this one!), that's great
  • The key, though, is to enjoy and appreciate these things as tools or ways of becoming happier faster and easier, and that you enjoy and appreciate them on those terms, rather than ever believing that you need them to be happy or to stay happy.
