In this video, you’re going to learn an important step for getting rid of negative thoughts, so that you can change your thinking faster and easier.

As a teaching tool, I’m using the Positive Thinking Tool. Now let’s get started.

First of all, this lesson assumes that you’ve already followed the previous lessons for getting rid of negative thoughts.

Specifically, let’s say you want to get rid of a negative thought like “I have failed to achieve a lot of things”. By this point you have already reduced your mind’s motivation to think negatively by appreciating why thinking negatively works against you.

You also understand why it doesn’t make sense to think this negative thought when you could be thinking in a valid, true way that benefit you instead.

And, finally, you’ve consciously decided to stop thinking this negative stop for your own good and to change your thinking.

If you’ve done all that already, then congratulations. You’ve done everything it already takes to stop thinking negatively.

There’s only one thing left for you to do, and it’s a big thing. You have to give your mind a different, better, more positive way to think.

The reason for this is that by this point your mind is completely ready to stop thinking negatively, but if it doesn’t know of a better way to think, then it can continue thinking negatively just because that is your mind’s default way of thinking until it knows of a better way to think.

To understand this, imagine by this point you’ve gone through all the steps, and your brain is saying, hey I know why it’s good to stop thinking this thought, and I know why it doesn’t make sense to think the thought. I completely want to stop thinking this thought. I just don’t know of a different or better way to think! Give me a different, better way to think, and I’ll change my thinking right now.

So that’s what you’ve got to do. You’ve got to give your mind a replacement positive thought that it can start thinking immediately.

What you’re looking for in a replacement positive thought is two things.

You want something that is a sensible replacement for your negative thought, and you want something that you can easily accept as valid or true, so that your mind can start using that thought immediately without reservations.

So for example, “I can still achieve a lot of things with my life” is a great replacement positive thought because it’s a sensible replacement for the negative thought “I have failed to achieve a lot of things”.

And it’s also great, because you can easily accept this as valid or true, because of course you can still achieve a lot of things with your life. As long as you’re living, you can achieve things with your life.

So the big lesson that you’ve learned here is that once you’ve taken action to get rid of a negative thought, give your mind a replacement positive thought that it can think instead, and that is how you change your thinking immediately.
